CCSM's wishes on Eid Al-Fitr

By Fr. Rif'at Bader

The Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) in Jordan expresses its sincere wishes to all Muslim brethren in the world on the advent of Eid al-Fitr which followed a month of fasting and charity.

At the local level, the CCSM, represented by its Director Fr. Ri'fat Bader and all CCSM members of staff, has the honor to convey special greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ben Al Hussein, to Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Hussein Ben Abdullah II, as well as to the Hashemite and Jordanian families. It is also hoped to have Jordan continue its blessed march, as a model to be emulated in the world, as an oasis of security, of stability, of dialogue, sound citizenship, and harmony among Muslims and Christians in this dear homeland.

At the regional level, the CCSM hopes that the Eid will serve to create an atmosphere of peace and unity among the peoples of the region, so that the countries suffering from wars and terrorism will restore tranquility and cooperation among the different shades of societies for the best of humans and humanity. It is also hoped that there will no longer be violence, and most importantly, it is hoped that no violence in the world will be committed either in the name of religion or in the name of God, the God of peace and mercy.

At the international level, the CCSM shares the views of His Holiness Pope Francis and the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue in its 50th well-wishes message on the advent of Ei Al-Fitr this year which states: "Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, we wish to assure you of our prayerful solidarity during this time of fasting in the month of Ramadan and the celebration of ‘Id al–Fitr that concludes it, and we extend to you our heartfelt best wishes for serenity, joy and abundant spiritual gifts.

With the help of God, may the religious views as well as the blesses of fasting, prayer and good deeds, help proceed on the road of peace and goodness in order to care for all members of human family. With such feelings, we do wish you happiness, joy and prosperity. "

Happy Eid Al-Fitr.
