One year and two months have passed since the Syrian bishops Youhanna Ibrahim and Boulos Yaziji have been kidnapped in Syria's Aleppo and their fate remains unknown and ambiguous.
However, new reports have emerged lately from the mediator parties, which include General Security Director Major General Abbas Ibrahim, confirming that the Christian clerics are now in the hands of the most extremist group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The bishops are alive and in good health condition, they were transferred to Tal al-Abiad in Raqqa Province near the Turkish borders, according to reports.
It seems that the long negotiations have come to an end; some reports confirm that their release is nearing and it will take place under the cover of Qatar through the method of prisoners swap.
The swap will take place between the two bishops and prisoners from ISIS among them Saleh al-Aqraa the emir of Usbat al-Ansar as well as other Turkmen members affiliated to the organization.
