Bethlehem University holds certificate distribution ceremony for employability skills course

On Thursday, June 15, 2017, the Career Guidance Office at Bethlehem University held a certificate distribution ceremony for students who participated in the Employability Skills course that was held in cooperation with the Czech Republic Development Cooperation, Caritas Czech Republic, and Caritas Jerusalem. The course was offered to senior students and fresh graduates during the months of October and November of 2016. It covered several life skills topics, such as CV writing, interviewing skills, time management, communications skills, presentation skills, team work, problem solving, goal setting, and leadership skills.

The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by Mr. Martin Náprstek, Head of Partner Relations Department at the Czech Republic Development Cooperation, Ms. Iva Peterkova, Program Manager at Caritas Czech Republic, Mr. George Handal, Acting General Director of Caritas Jerusalem, Mr. David Fawadleh, Project Coordinator at Caritas Jerusalem, and Bethlehem University faculty and staff including Mr. Michael Tanas, the course instructor, and Mr. Saher Khair, Career Guidance Coordinator.

Opening the ceremony, Mr. David Fawadleh greeted attendees and students, and announced about the second session of the training course that will begin mid-July.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Ms. Jane Mousallam, expressed gratitude to Bethlehem University for organizing the course and the Czech Republic, Caritas Czech, and Caritas Jerusalem for their support towards its success. She emphasized the positive impact the course has had on her life and the help it has given her toward finding employment after graduation.
