Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop William Shomali pointed out, on Monday, October 9, that sister Benoit Qandah passed away and moved to the Heavenly Homes on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary where she celebrated the feast twice; the first time with the sisters at the Shmeisani monastery and the second time in the Kingdom of God with the Heavenly Mother whom she loved and dedicated her life to, by serving her and her son Lord Jesus Christ.

He added, while presiding the funeral Mass at the St. Mary of Nazareth church, in Sweifieh: “Sister Benoit, like every other Rosary Sisters nun, used to pray the rosary every day, where she repeatedly said in her prayers, ’Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death'. We are certain that the Heavenly Mother accompanied her during her illness, or rather the moment she passed away took her to the desired happiness, where she heard the voice of Christ: ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

Bishop Shomali added: “I extend my condolences to all the Rosary Sisters represented by the superior mother and the regional superior mother of the Rosary Sisters. I also convey my condolences to her sisters, brothers, relatives, and the Qandah family in Jordan. Sister Benoit is worthy to inherit the Kingdom of God for having yielded the fruits of piety and love. "

Present at the funeral Mass were Patriarch Fouad Twal, Superior General Mother Bayan Zakariya, Deputy Mother Iness AI-Yacoub, and the Regional Superior Mother Sister Micheline Ma’louf, as well as a group of bishops, priests, nuns, friends family members, and a crowd of believers from various parishes in Jordan.
