Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Fouad Twal has called on bishops and priests to pray next Sunday, June 8, for the success of the scheduled meeting to be held under the patronage of Pope Francis in the Vatican between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres.
On the other, Patriarch Twal, who will be in Rome for this occasion, urged the faithful to join His Holiness in prayer, together with all parishioners, during Mass on Sunday since this special event coincides with Pentecost Sunday.
The patriarch implored the Holy Spirit to inspire those with good intentions to work together for the sake of a just and long-lasting peace.
