Apostolic Administrator Pizzaballa undertakes pastoral visits in Jordan


Most Rev. Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, on Saturday, January 13, paid a pastoral visit to the two Latin churches in the townships of Huson and Shatana, northern Jordan.

Upon his arrival in Huson, he was welcomed by parish priest Fr. Firas Nasrawin. Then, a meeting was held with all parish functionaries who welcomed him which was followed by a dialogue during which various issues were discussed.

Later, the Apostolic Administrator celebrated Mass, which was concelebrated by Fr. Firas Nasrawin as well as Fr. Joseph Sweiss and Deacon Firas Abed Rabboh, in the presence of Rosary sisters a large number of people. At the outset of the Mass, Fr. Nasrawin welcomed Archbishop Pizzaballa and thanked him for visiting the parishioners of Huson. Then, the Apostolic Administrator met with the parishioners of Shatana who warmly welcomed him.

This visit comes within the context of the pastoral tours carried out by the Apostolic Administrator to the churches and parishioners of the Latin Patriarchate in Palestine and Jordan.
