On Monday, December 2, Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop William Shomali celebrated a requiem Mass for late Rosary Sister Octavi who passed away on Sunday, December 1, at St. Mary of Nazareth church, Sweifieh, Amman.
Present at the Mass were Patriarch Fouad Twal, Bishop Salim Sayegh, Superior General of the Rosary Sisters Mother Ines Al-Yacoub, Chancellor-General of Jordan Sister Michelin Maalouf, a number of bishops, priests and nuns from various congregations, sisters of the late nun, women from Aleppo, and a group of believers.
In his homily, Bishop Shomali said, "We will mark Advent time without, you as you have waited for a long time. Now, you are enjoying a happy time as you will celebrate Christmas in the Kingdom of God.” Stressing that the Lord took her on the first Sunday of Advent time to the home of rest, peace and light, he conveyed condolences on behalf of the Latin Patriarchate and thanked her for the pastoral services she presented over the years.
Sister Caroline Bader delivered an address on behalf of the Rosary Sisters indicating that she left the world with the advent of the liturgical year to stay with Lord Jesus Christ and live in the Kingdom of God with Virgin Mary.
Sister Caroline conveys condolence on behalf of Superior General of the Rosary Sisters, Mother Bebian Zakaria, Superior General of the Rosary Sisters Mother Ines Al-Yacoub and the Rosary sisters.
