Bethlehem University students develop three mobile applications for startups

bethlehem.edu :

As part of their graduation projects, some Software Engineering students developed three mobile applications and a website for three incubated startups at the Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI) and Yunus Social Business Center (YSBC) at Bethlehem University.

The BBI & YSBC are working to provide students with opportunities to get real working experience and prepare them to enter the market and be able to start their own businesses.

The BBI thanked the students for the services provided to the startups and wished them all a bright career in Software Engineering.

This activity is part of the Start Your Business project, implemented by VIS in partnership with Bethlehem University, and funded by The Italian Agency for Cooperation Development.

The three projects were as follows:

“Eventcom” is a one-stop-shop with plenty of vendors and many reviews by real newlyweds. So, if you are clueless about where to wed and whom to hire, do a quick search and narrow results by type, location, price, and rating. When you are done with the big-ticket items, you will find checklists, budget templates, and etiquette tips. Eventcom has been developed by the students: Razan Al-Qazaha and Firas Bannoura.

“Hihalls” is a mobile application and a website for booking wedding halls targeting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, and Beit Jala. It also includes other related services such as photography, printing presses, car rental offices, studio photography, and many more by more than 100 vendors. HiHall app has been developed by the student: Ms. Aseel Shakarna and the Website by the students: Mais Qneibi and Daniel Qumsiah.

“Kashkool” is a mobile application for educational, recreational, social, and cultural activities in Palestine, that aims to provide quiz games to those who would like to expand their knowledge, relieve the stress of daily routine, and have fun and exciting time with their families and friends. Kashkool has been developed by: Natali Bnnoura and Arleen Odeh.
