On December 8, 2025, Latin Patriarchal Vicar in Jordan Msgr. Iyad Twal met with Dr. Sahel Hammouri, director general of Jordan’s Royal Medical Services (RMS), to sign a cooperation agreement and a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing humanitarian and medical services for children in the Gaza Strip affected by the war.

The agreement affirms the Latin Patriarchate’s commitment to serving humanity without discrimination and supports His Majesty King Abdullah II’s initiative to welcome children from Gaza, and provide them with treatment in Jordanian hospitals.
