Jordan: MECC, YWCA sign MoU to support the most vulnerable people
mecc.org :

In response to the call of God, the Creator, to stand next to the most vulnerable and neediest, the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) has always sought, since its establishment, to accompany the most marginalized and affected people due to the difficult living conditions. MECC aims to preserve their rights and dignity, in various countries of the Middle East. Within this context, the MECC Jordan office is implementing several programs to support Syrian and Iraqi refugees as well as the vulnerable people from Jordanian host communities.

In this framework, on Wednesday 14 September 2022, the MECC Jordan’s Office, represented by its Director Mrs. Wafaa Qousous, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), represented by YWCA President Mrs. Hania Kakish, at YWCA headquarters in Amman. The MoU aimed at strengthening the cooperation towards the implementation of various training courses.

The Jordanian team also seeks to secure a safe environment and the necessary knowledge to accompany the elderly and take care of them. Hence, another agreement was signed in this context between the Director of the Elderly Care Program at the MECC Jordan’s Office Mr. Azmi Al Adwan, and  Executive Director of the Academy Mrs. Rola Habaybeh.

Therefore, the Academy will be qualified as the training body which will assist MECC, through the agreement, in providing the training program, competencies and the qualified trainers. In addition to the training rooms, equipment, devices and all other logistics.

The Elderly Care training course starts on 15 September and ends on 15 December 2022, and will include many sessions as well as field training in elderly care centers. At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
