Reading the Holy Bible changes people's lives

By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

Reading the Holy Bible has resounding effects on people's lives as it is valid all the time. This holy book transcends humans' lives from sadness and misery into a divine atmosphere of consolation and comfort. This is simply attributed to the fact that this holy book addresses a divine Lord Who came down from the Kingdom of God and sacrificed Himself for the salvation of humanity. He is the word of God Whom the Holy Bible refers to as "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

Reading the Holy Bible on daily bases gets people directly in touch with the Word of God. It has various benefits, namely growing in faith, seeking forgiveness, safeguarding against false teachings, receiving guidance and hope  on how to live, as well as receiving assurances that the path to the Kingdom of God is assured in the company of the Prince of Peace.

A relevant report has reverberated indicating that an illiterate Pakistani man could not read the Holy Bible. He said, “I want to read the Bible, but I cannot do that because I am illiterate.” He was told that in the Bible there is a special blessing for those who touch the Word of God. He was thus advised to touch a page of the Bible on daily by going word by word and line by line which helps him obtain divine blessing with fingers because it is written in the Holy Bible that there is a blessing for those who touch the Word of God.”

So, this man followed this advice whereby every day he would open the Bible and run his fingers over some lines. He did so for a two-and-a-half years and said, “I received many blessings, much conversion and change in my life. I touched the whole Bible.”

This is reminiscent of a major event mentioned in the Holy Bible where it states that, "And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years but no one could heal her. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against You.”  But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at His feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to Her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” (Luke 8: 43-48)

This event mentioned in the Holy Bible indicates that faith in the Lord opens all blocked roads and turns wherever seems to be impossible into something possible and easy to attain. This woman who was bleeding for years had the faith that touching the edge of Lord Jesus cloak would heal  her. Upon admitting that she was the one who did this, the Lord told her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

These two models of real-life stories and Biblical miracles attributed to Lord Jesus provide cogent evidence that faith can turn miseries into happiness and open gates of flowery gardens leading to a bright future.
