Witchcraft is the mother of all evils

By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

In a world where evil lurks in nooks and crannies, witchcraft remains one of the worst and most serious evils in the world. It implies surrendering one's life to demon and fulfilling destructive deeds that contravene the Lord's good and loving will. It is the mother of all evils as it wreaks havoc on all walks of life and endorses committing all kinds of crime without any limitations.

People reach a deadlock by calling on a power not from God and establishing a relationship with that power, because when asking a favor, these spirits do not provide help in the long run. The whole idea is that any time people want to break away from these relationships; they have to work at it. Once these demonic powers are in a relationship with somebody, one has to go through a great level of spiritual battle to be free. They are not going to let one go as the devil doesn’t want people to walk away from him.

In this case people should not open doors they might not be able to close on their own. It is important to remember that spiritual warfare is not a fight between equals. The devil hates us but what is more important is that God loves us. If people stay away from the occult, go to Holy Mass, have faith in the Lord, and pray, they will definitely be protected and even a curse will bounce off them. A relationship with Lord Jesus is what gives us true freedom, implying being obedient to the Lord and not slaves to our own passions.

The Holy Bible relates an important encounter between Lord Jesus Christ and the devil. It states that, "Then the devil led Jesus to the holy city of Jerusalem and put him on a high place at the edge of the Temple area. He said to Jesus, "If you are the Son of God, jump off, because the Scriptures say, 'God will command his angels to help you, and their hands will catch you, so that you will not hit your foot on a rock'." Jesus answered, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God'." Then the devil led Jesus to the top of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the wonderful things in them. The devil said, “If you will bow down and worship me, I will give you all these things.” Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God. Serve only him!’” So the devil left him. Then some angels came to Jesus and helped him. (Matthew 4:1-11)

This reference from the Holy Bible indicates that Lord Jesus teaches us two things, namely that hand Lord Jesus' power over evil is absolute and that His presence nullifies the effect of evil in life.

The Holy Bible states that it is important to set minds on what the Spirit desires rather than what the flesh desires. In Romans 8, the Holy Bible says that “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. Immanuel was sent “in the likeness of sinful flesh” but did not set His mind on earthly desires."

People who stick to Lord Jesus teaching and walk hand-in-hand with him will never fail.
