The visit of Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, to Pakistan begins, 8 October, and runs through Saturday, 10 October.
The Archbishop is travelling to Islamabad to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as to strengthen their shared commitment to peace and cooperation.
Program
According to the program released by @TerzaLoggia, the Secretariat of State’s account on X, Archbishop Gallagher is meeting today with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
On Thursday, the Archbishop will meet with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Pakistan and take part in a conference marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Pakistan.
On Friday, the final day of his visit, the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations will celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Islamabad. He will then visit the Faisal Mosque and meet with religious leaders.
