Apostolic Nuncio to Jordan Bishop Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso blessed humanitarian aid, including medicines and medical equipment, which was delivered on October 8, 2024 to the Embassy of Lebanon in Amman via Caritas, Jordan, with the aim of forwarding the needed aid to Lebanon. This aid falls in the framework of supporting the Lebanese health sector, as Lebanon is going through dire conditions represented by the escalating clashes between warring parties.

In this frame, Bishop Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso expressed his gratitude to Jordan for its continued support, noting that this gesture reflects Jordan's solidarity with Lebanon and strengthens close relations between the two countries. He also emphasized Jordan's steadfast position in supporting the Arab brethren with continued guidance from His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Bishop Dal Toso also reiterated a short prayer by His Holiness Pope Francis that shows his solidarity saying: “Thank you, O children of peace, for comforting the heart of God that is suffering by the evil of man.” He also expressed his appreciation to all those who contribute to providing support, especially Caritas Jordan.
