Caritas Jordan holds a conference on the project 'the Christian Participation in the Community'

On Saturday, March 24, Caritas Jordan held a closing conference for "the Christian Participation in the community project:Phase II", under the patronage of  Apostolic Nuncio to Jordan Archbishop Giovanni Petro Dal Toso in the presence of Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Jordan Joseph Jbara,  Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Fr. Jihad Shwaihat, in addition to a number of priests, nuns, and representatives of pastoral groups that participated in the project.

 

Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman welcomed the attendance and thanked everyone for participating in the project. Then, he presented a briefing on the project, the activities and initiatives carried out by environmental, as well as the cultural, community and pastoral initiatives.  On the other hand, Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Giovanni Petro Dal Toso expressed his happiness with this project which reflects the fact that Catholic institutions work together for the good of mankind.

 

Then Fr. Dr. Rif'at Bader, Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan, reviewed the study which is considered one of the most important outputs of the project that highlights the reality of Christian presence and its role in building the community in our beloved country.

 

Later, a review was made of three community initiatives carried out during the implementation of the project by Mr. Ibrahim Musallam, the General Secretary of Christian Youth; Mr. 'Udai Safadi, leader of the scout group and guides of the Jordan Martyrs Church, Marj Al-Hamam; and Mr. Michel Fashhou, the president of the Love and Mercy Charity Society.

 

Then, Latin Patriarchal Vicar Fr. Jihad Shwaihat, presented certificates of gratitude and appreciation to all the in the project.
