Caritas Jordan, in partnership with the Royal Academy for Persons with Disabilities, concluded the national consultations on the Draft National Policy for Inclusive Education in Early Childhood and the Inclusive Education Quality Standards Framework, held on 23–24 September 2026 in Amman.

The consultations brought together representatives from ministries, national institutions, civil society organizations, and stakeholders working in the education and childhood sectors, alongside the Caritas Jordan Education Unit team and a representative of the project donor.

The consultations aimed to discuss and review the draft national policy and the Inclusive Education Quality Standards Framework through discussion sessions and working groups. Participants addressed the clarity and feasibility of the proposed policy directions, roles and responsibilities, funding and implementation requirements, as well as anticipated challenges and proposed amendments.

The second day was dedicated to reviewing the Inclusive Education Quality Standards Framework. Participants discussed the standards, indicators, and means of verification, examining their alignment with the principles of child rights and inclusive education, their relevance to different age groups and services, and their measurability and practical applicability.

The consultations concluded with a discussion session focusing on the alignment between the national policy and the quality standards framework, as well as identifying priorities and necessary amendments in preparation for finalizing both documents. These efforts aim to contribute to enhancing the quality and inclusiveness of early childhood education in Jordan.
