By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

The Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan, represented by Dr. Marcel Jweinat, won the highest number of votes in the Steering Committee elections that has been held by the Jordanian “Anna Lindh” network virtually. The elections aimed to elect the six-member steering committee of the network headed by the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies.

The Anna Lindh Foundation promotes mutual respect and in-depth knowledge among the societies of the Euro-Mediterranean region, by bringing people together to work on common projects in the fields of education, media, culture, and youth participation.

It aims at promoting intercultural awareness, knowledge and competences amongst the Euro-Mediterranean societies; tackling intolerance and stereotypes through the promotion of debates, public outreach and local initiatives; building the capacity of civil society organizations to partner in exchanges and trans-Mediterranean collaborations;  and working with decision-makers and media to reinforce cultural relations at the heart of the Mediterranean dialogue agenda.
