'Celebrate, study and disseminate the Word of God'
It is important to celebrate, study, and disseminate the Word of God because the Gospel gives people satisfaction, security, peace, and love for all people including enemies.

In his Apostolic Letter of 30 September 2019, Aperuit illis (Aposolic Letter) Pope Francis established that the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time is to be the Sunday of the Word of God.  The Sunday of the Word of God is a day to be devoted to the celebration, study, and spreading of the Word of God. It is a day is when people are called upon to give greater attention not just to the Word of God but to reflect on how we the Word of God can be honored in our thinking and deeds.

Marking the Sunday of the Word of God, January 24, 2021, Pope Francis said, "God's word continues to tell us 'Do not be afraid, I am with you. I am at your side and I will always be there.' In speaking to us, the Lord reminds us that He has taken us to heart, that we are precious in His eyes, and that He holds us in the palm of His hand. God’s word is one of consolation but also a call to conversion…Those who hear God’s word, Pope Francis highlighted, “are constantly reminded that life is not about shielding ourselves from others, but about encountering them in the name of God who is near.”

These words uttered by His Holiness Pope Francis remind us that the Almighty Lord is on our side and that we should never be afraid. The Bible's words are the shield that keeps evil at bay as the Lord takes us to heart.

Marking the Sunday Word of God is an invitation to the faithful in the entire world to deepen their appreciation, love and faithful witness to God and his  divine Word, the Holy Bible. This day is an opportunity to renew our commitment and understanding of the inexhaustible richness that comes from God's constant dialogue with his people, namely the Holy Bible.

In his homily, the Pope prayed that people would also be given the strength to turn off the television and open the Bible, to turn off our cell phone and open the Gospel. On our turn, we also pray that Christians, regardless of their denominations, would be given the patience to read verses of the Bible on daily bases as following this practice a few minutes every day would definitely brighten their days  with Lord  Jesus 'bright light that never fades.

It is important to celebrate, study, and disseminate the Word of God because the Gospel gives people satisfaction, security, peace, and love for all people including enemies.  The word of God is the treasure located between the folders of the Holy Bible.

Lord Jesus Christ called for hearing and obeying the word of God, as it states, "He replied, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:28)

Another impressive verse is, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

Blessed is the word of God.
