As part of the Christian pilgrimage “Terra Nova” to the holy sites in Jordan, a delegation of youth from the Holy Family Co-Cathedral in Kuwait, on Thursday, February 26, 2026 visited Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop Iyad Twal, accompanied by Fr. Suleiman Haifawi and Sister Lara Shwarab.
The visit took place within the pilgrimage program, which included prominent stops in Jordan such as Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the Baptism Site of Lord Jesus Christ, where the pilgrims renewed their vows of faith.
During the meeting, Bishop Twal expressed his joy at this initiative, which embodies the unity of the universal Church. He also stressed that pilgrimage is a journey of faith and a renewal of the covenant with God.
The journey's motto was taken from the Book of Isaiah 66:22: “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure.”
This motto reflects the message of hope and eternity that accompanies the pilgrims on their journey. It also affirms that faith is the eternal bond between humans and their Creator, and that future generations will continue to bear witness to this sacred covenant.
