From August 31 to September 3, 2026, the Latin Bishops of the Arab Regions are gathering in Rome for the annual meeting of C.E.L.R.A., the Conference of Latin Bishops of the Arab Regions.

The meeting brings together bishops serving Latin-rite Catholic communities across the Middle East, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula. Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, is taking part in the meeting.

The annual gathering offers the bishops an opportunity to share the life and challenges of their local Churches, reflect together on pastoral priorities, and strengthen communion among communities that live in diverse social, cultural, and religious contexts.
