MECC contributes to preventing coronavirus infection

mecc.org :

Amid the deteriorating living conditions and outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus in Lebanon, the citizens’ needs are daily increasing. Therefore, the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) continues its humanitarian relief  role by supporting the most vulnerable and needy groups through distributing a new batch of aid; especially with the rising prices of the basic materials and tools which are necessary for a decent life.

Our Lady Dispensary team, affiliated to the CCSM and located in Sabtiyeh, Lebanon, helped 750 families benefiting from the dispensary’s services, and in cooperation with the member churches in Beirut. It provided vouchers of each worth 195,000 Lebanese pounds to help them buy the cleaning tools they need, as well as distributed protective face masks and sanitizers.

The Service and Relief Department, Diakonia, Beirut office, was able to implement this program with the support of the international organization Mennonite Central Committee - MCC.
