Radio Maria has celebrated 28 years of its evangelizing presence in Ecuador with a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the Basilica of the National Vow in Quito. The Holy Mass was presided over by Bishop Danilo Echeverría, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Quito, and concelebrated by Fr Marco Bayas, Director of Radio Maria, together with volunteer priests.

The celebration brought together hundreds of faithful, who gave thanks to God for Radio Maria’s evangelizing work in the service of the Church and Ecuadorian families.

One of the most significant moments of the Eucharistic celebration was the blessing of a statue of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the patroness of Radio Maria worldwide, donated by Radio Maria Spain to support the station’s evangelizing mission.

The statue will travel to different cities, communities and corners of the country as a visible sign of the maternal closeness of the Virgin Mary.
