On Saturday, 7 September, 2024 Radio Maria Lithuania celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Shrine of Our Lady of Šiluva, which is dedicated to the nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and, in 1608, was the site of apparitions that powerfully restored the Catholic faith to the country.

In the presence of a number of bishops (two of whom were Radio Maria Lithuania directors), religious, seminarians, volunteers, and listeners, the Rosary was said and then Mass was offered by Archbishop Kęstutis Kėvalas of Kaunas. The festivities continued with several testimonials, traditional music, and greetings from Director Sigitas Jurkštas and President Egidija Vaicekauskiene. It was an important moment for this Radio Maria that today – with 25 repeaters and a coverage of almost 90 percent of the population – is an instrument of evangelization for the entire Baltic area.
