The faithful of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Fujairah joyfully celebrated their parish feast on Saturday, June 27, with a solemn Mass presided over by Fr. Peter P.M., vicar general of the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia.

The Mass was concelebrated by the parish clergy and invited priests, including the three Salesian priests serving at St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Fujairah.

In his homily, Fr. Peter reflected on the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Ark of the Covenant, the Tower of David who protects Her children, and above all as the Mother of Good Counsel. He reminded the faithful that Mary, as a loving Mother, understands every human suffering and, as Our Lady of Perpetual Help, constantly invites Her children to turn to Her with confidence.

During the celebration, Fr. Willy Atienza, parish priest, presented certificates of appreciation to Fr. Peter. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Derick Castelino, Vice President of the Parish Council, who expressed gratitude to the clergy, parish ministries, volunteers, sponsors, benefactors, and the entire parish community for their dedication in preparing the nine days of novena and the feast celebration.

More than 800 faithful from Fujairah and the surrounding Emirates gathered for this joyful occasion, which concluded with a fellowship dinner. The parish feast was a beautiful witness to faith, devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and the vibrant spirit of the Catholic community in Fujairah.
