CCSM conveys well wishes on advent of the month of Ramadan

The Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) in Jordan conveys well wishes to the extended Jordanian family on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. A statement issued by CCSM Director Fr. Dr. Rif'at Bader states that the month of Ramadan coincides this year with the fasting  marked by Christians in Jordan and the world at large that precedes the Feast of the Resurrection, which serves as a sign of brotherhood that unites the Christian believers and their Muslim brethren in prayer, fasting and charity.

In his statement, Fr. Bader says: ''Normal life has returned to its normal pace by the grace of God, as prayers and acts of worship increase in the month of Ramadan and during the fasting which is observed during the forty-day Lenten season  during which people lift up supplications to the Almighty God in order to accept prayers and repentance. In this period good deeds and charity are conducted whether by providing aid to the poor and the needy or by holding banquets especially to needy families,  as well as to the forcibly displaced brethren by charitable societies including several ecclesiastical institutions as is the case every year, thus these times become a source of spiritual and humanitarian richness for humans and for the large society that exerts diligence and sincerity

Fr. Bader valued the continuous Royal efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who received the Award for Human Fraternity a few days ago, which stresses the need not to change the existing historical and legal situation in Jerusalem, and calls for facilitating access to holy places without hindrance or undertaking measures that could obstruct the arrival of the faithful to their holy places and practising their religious rites, especially during the month of Ramadan and Lenten fasting.

The CCSM conveys its sincere well wishes to the extended Jordanian family, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein Ibn Abdullah, hoping that the month of Ramadan and the fasting season will bring about goodness to our dear country, Jordan, and that it would remain as it has always been the case an oasis of security, stability, fraternal brotherhood, and national unity, as well as ensure global recovery from the Corona disease, eliminate violence and wars, as well as restore calm and tranquility to all countries that yearn for peace.
