Abducted Nigerian priest released after 40 days
A statement from the Diocese of Zaria in Nigeria‘s northern Kaduna State reveals that one of its pastors, in the hands of kidnappers for 40 days, has been freed.

Father Felix Zakari Fidson was released by his captors on  May 3 after having been kidnapped 40 days prior to his release as he travelled to the diocesan headquarters of his Parish in the Diocese of Zaria.

 

According to news agencies, Diocesan chancellor, Father Patrick Adikwu Odeh said: "With hearts filled with joy, we announce the return of our brother, the Rev. Fr. Felix Zakari Fidson, who was abducted shortly after he left his residence at St. Ann’s Zango Tama II on his way to the diocesan headquarters on Thursday, March 24, 2022.”

 

The abduction of Zakari, pastor of St Ann’s, Zango/Taman Parish, was immediately followed by an appeal for prayers for his release.
