Bethlehem University, Bulgarian delegation explore new horizons for academic cooperation

Bethlehem University has participated in a high-level diplomatic and academic meeting hosted at the Bethlehem Municipality, aimed at strengthening international partnerships and exploring new opportunities for academic cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria.

 

The meeting was hosted by the Mayor of Bethlehem, Mr. Maher Nicola Canawati, and Deputy Mayor, Ms. Lucy Thaljieh. They welcomed a distinguished delegation led by H.E. Veselin Delchev, Head of the Diplomatic Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ramallah, and Prof. Anastas Gerdzhikov, representing the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science.

 

A vision for global connectivity

Representing Bethlehem University, Ms. Hanadi Younan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Mr. Yazan Al Zubaidy, Director of Marketing and Communications, engaged with the delegation to showcase the university’s historic role as a center for excellence, provided an overview of the university’s history and its ongoing mission to provide quality education despite regional challenges.

 

Mayor Canawati emphasized that such international alliances are crucial for the development of the local community, stating that Bethlehem remains a vibrant hub for cultural and intellectual exchange. By connecting with European partners, Bethlehem University continues to ensure its students have access to global opportunities and cutting-edge research.
