On Thursday, March 13, a delegation of Caritas Jordan employees, accompanied by its Director Mr. Wa’el Suleiman, paid a well-wishes visit to His Eminence Bishop Iyad Twal at the Latin Patriarchate in Amman.
During the meeting, the delegation members provided a comprehensive overview of Caritas' history and humanitarian goals, while reviewing its efforts to respond to the needs of refugees and Jordanian families in need. The discussions highlighted the health, educational, and humanitarian services provided by Caritas Jordan through its various activities that are conducted at its centers across the Kingdom. The highligts of the meeting including a review of Caritas Jordan’s role in enhancing communal solidarity by providing necessary support to individuals and families in need.
For his part, Bishop Iyad praised this meeting and lauded the important role that Caritas Jordan plays in serving the local community. He also underlined the fact that Caritas Jordan complements the Church's social role, noting that the Church's mission is not limited to spiritual aspects only, but also plays a vital role in providing testimony through service and love to the local community.
