A delegation from Caritas Jordan has visited the American University of Madaba (AUM) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions, follow up on the implementation of their signed agreement, and explore ways to translate its areas of cooperation into practical initiatives and programs that serve the local community.

The Caritas Jordan delegation included Mr. Thabet Al-Wir, president of the board; Ms. Randa Awad, board member; Mr. Omar Abawi, acting executive Director; and Ms. Nancy Batarseh, Legal Advisor.

The delegation was received by Eng. Azzam Sweihat, chairman of the AUM board of trustees; Prof. Uday Arida, president of the university; and Mr. Imad Al-Deir, member of the board of trustees.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the key areas of cooperation outlined in the agreement and discussed opportunities for their implementation, drawing on the expertise and capacities of both institutions. The Caritas Jordan delegation also provided an overview of the organization’s key services and programs and the communities it serves.

The discussions also explored opportunities to develop joint initiatives and activities that support Caritas Jordan’s beneficiaries, strengthen the University’s engagement in community service, and expand cooperation in ways that enhance the social impact of the partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination in the coming period and following up on the implementation of the agreement, with the aim of achieving its objectives and further strengthening the partnership between Caritas Jordan and the American University of Madaba in service of the community.
