On Thursday, March 28, 2024 Caritas Jordan renewed the cooperation agreements with both the Italian Hospital and Luzmila Hospital in Amman, Jordan.
The renewal of the cooperation agreements reaffirms Caritas Jordan’s mission of love and benevolence for ensuring continued commitment to providing humanitarian services to the needy, as the agreements aim to enhance the mutual partnership designed to provide secondary medical services, medical transfer services, and drug delivery services.
The agreements were signed by Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman with Italian Hospital Managing Director Dr. Nassim Samawi on the one hand and with Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Yazid Masannat and the Vice President Mr. Hazem Baqa’in on the other in the presence of the administrative staff and medical staff from both hospitals, as well as Caritas Jordan’s representatives of medical projects.
It is also important to note in this regard that in a step that reflects the firm commitment to humanitarian work, to achieving a mission in support of those in need, as well as to providing assistance in difficult circumstances, Caritas Jordan and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) signed an agreement on January 24, 2024. The agreement provides for cooperation and an understanding to jointly transfer urgently needed aid to the people in the Gaza Strip who face challenges resulting from the wars, at a time when they urgently need to receive aid such as food, water, medicine, and other basic supplies. This humanitarian work is carried out by the JHCO with the support from the Catholic Relief Services. For its part, Caritas Jordan will provide needed support which includes in-kind relief materials and humanitarian aid which will be delivered through the charitable organization.
In another incident that reflects its noble message which expresses mercy and compassion, Caritas Jordan on August 9, 2021 sent a shipment of medicines to Caritas Lebanon in the hope of alleviating the suffering of the ill.
Caritas Jordan has all the time played a pivotal and vital role by providing all kinds of humanitarian services to needy Jordanians as well as refugees who lost all hope in life, whereas its role is not called assistance but rather acts confirming humans’ legitimate rights of living in peace and harmony regardless of their race, color, gender or religion.
