By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

Caritas Jordan has signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Rosary Sisters Hospital in Irbid, whose director is Sister Alexandra Hattar. The agreement is designed to promote cooperation with regards to providing health services to beneficiaries of Caritas' humanitarian programs.

The agreement was signed by Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman, in the presence of a Rosary Sisters Hospital team of medical staff, and a group from Caritas Jordan members of staff.

The agreement provides for Caritas Jordan to refer patients to the hospital to receive health services which include the provision of essential medications, laboratory tests, secondary and specialized medical services, in addition conducting operations as deemed necessary.

This agreement falls within the framework of the mutual endeavor to expand the scope of healthcare cooperation and be able to provide services to the most indigent groups by enhancing integration between health institutions and humanitarian services provided by Caritas Jordan across the Kingdom.

In this context, a visit was made to Caritas centers in Irbid and Husn with the aim of activating Caritas Jordan's role in the northern regions of the Kingdom, and increasing the services provided there. The visit was also designed to explore means of cooperation with Father Wajdi Sahawneh, parish priest of the Latin Monastery in Husn, and to consider launching new projects that would contribute to meeting the needs of the local community.
