On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) in Jordan renewed the media cooperation and partnership agreement with the American University of Madaba (AUM), within the framework of the efforts exerted to expand the scope of media and cultural cooperation among various local and international institutions, as well as to promote the effectiveness of the joint activities conducted among the various institutions, which operate under the umbrella of the Latin Patriarchate.

The agreement was signed by CCSM Director Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader and AUM President Professor Ma’moun Akroush.

Upon signing the agreement, Fr. Bader lauded the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the CCSM and the AUM especially this year which marks the 15th anniversary of laying of the AUM’s foundation stone by late Pope Benedict XVI in May 2009.

He said, “It is a great honor on our part to follow the progress attained by the Latin Patriarchate-owned AUM since its establishment, as it has become a leading university besides being a highly valued one by the Jordanian society, by the Latin Patriarchate, as well as by the CCSM that is always ready to cover and keep up to date with the events taking place in this dear university.”

For his part, Dr. Akroush said, “The AUM is proud of this strategic relationship with such a media institution affiliated with the Latin Patriarchate, based on the fact that the CCSM is a media platform that we are proud of, respect, and appreciate its message that serves the Church and the extended Jordanian society.”

He also thanked the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, led by His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, for supporting this university.
