Radio Mariam has had the joy and honor of welcoming to its headquarters a delegation from Sydney, Australia, accompanied by Father Ibrahim Sultan, Episcopal Vicar General of the Eparchy of the Greek-Melkite Catholics for Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
The visit was a moment of fraternal encounter and sharing in the mission that the Radio carries out daily in service to the Church and to evangelization. The guests had the opportunity to learn more closely about the activities of the Radio by visiting the studios and operational areas, and listening to the testimony of the work carried out by volunteers and staff to spread the Gospel through the media.
Particularly meaningful was the time spent in the Radio’s chapel where, in an atmosphere of recollection and gratitude, all those present sang together the Marian hymn, “We are your servants, O Mother of God”. Thus, they entrusted to the Virgin Mary the mission of the Radio and the journey of the Catholic communities represented by the delegation.
The meeting concluded with the recitation of the Angelus prayer, followed by the blessing imparted by Father Ibrahim Sultan, a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture, which sealed this visit as a moment of ecclesial communion and renewed commitment in service to the Church’s mission.
The presence of the Australian delegation is a concrete sign of how the mission of Radio Mariam is able to build bridges between communities that are geographically distant but united by the same faith and the same devotion to the Mother of God.
