This decision was made based on the recommendation of the University’s Board of Trustees during its session held today, Thursday, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah.

Eng. Shweihat expressed his deep pride and satisfaction with the renewed confidence in the University President, affirming that this decision is a recognition of the significant and tangible progress made under Professor Dr. Akroush’s leadership during his first term. The university witnessed remarkable advancements across academic and administrative levels during this period.

The Chairman emphasized the Board’s appreciation for Dr. Akroush’s dedication and collaborative approach, expressing confidence in the continued path of excellence and leadership set forth by the Board in cooperation with the University President through the University's strategic plan. Eng. Shweihat also highlighted several key achievements by the university in recent times, notably its nomination for U.S. institutional accreditation—a pivotal step toward academic excellence. He further noted the university’s continued licensing to grant academic degrees from the State of New Hampshire, USA; the development of its campus environment; the integration of advanced technologies; the improvement of student services; and initiatives that support innovation and entrepreneurship. These efforts aim to empower students and prepare them for the labor market through modern academic programs aligned with future needs.

He also acknowledged the invaluable support and patronage the university receives from the Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem, represented by H.B. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. This support has played a crucial role in advancing the university’s mission and reinforcing its educational and humanitarian values.

In conclusion, Eng. Azzam Shweihat, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Dr. Mamoun Akroush, wishing him continued success and prosperity. He also conveyed best wishes for the ongoing progress and growth of the university and its academic and administrative teams, so it may remain a beacon of knowledge in service of the nation under the wise Hashemite leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.
