EU representatives, Bethlehem University discuss vital role of int'l organizations in supporting education

Bethlehem University has had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the European Union (EU) during a cooking competition hosted on campus funded by the EU.

 

Mr. James Rizzo, Deputy European Union Representative, and Mrs. Inas Abu Shirbi, Press and Information Officer of the European Union Representative (West Bank & Gaza Strip, UNRWA), were received by Brother Jack Curran, Vice President for Advancement, Dr. Iman Saca, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Elias Juha, Director of the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Mr. Mousa Rabadi, Director of the Institute for Community Engagement and Partnership, and  Yazan Al-Zubaidy, Director of Marketing and Communications Department.

 

During the visit, Bethlehem University officials and the EU representatives engaged in a positive and insightful discussion about the vital role of international organizations in supporting education and community development, particularly in the current context. The university, which is already actively engaged in Erasmus+ programs, remains committed to expanding opportunities for faculty, staff, and students through international cooperation.

 

Following the meeting, Mr. Rizzo took a guided tour of Bethlehem University, led by Guest Relations Officer Ms. Amjaad Musleh. The tour provided an overview of the university’s mission, its commitment to academic excellence since its establishment in 1973, and its continuous efforts to maintain high standards in education. The guests had the opportunity to visit BU facilities and see firsthand the university’s impact on students and the wider community.
