Under the motto of "Carry the Shield of Faith", the General Secretariat of Christian Youth in Jordan has launched its slogan for the Jubilee Year 2025, during a solemn Holy Mass  celebrated by Acting Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Fr. Jihad Shweihat in the presence of Patriarch Fouad Twal, Youth mentor Fr. Wajdi Twal, a group of priests, nuns,  and a large number of  people.

At the outset of the Holy Mass, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of Christian Youth in Jordan Ibrahim Musallam and the members of the General Secretariat for the year 2024 tendered their resignations, then they turned towards the statue of Blessed Mary and placed a white candle as a sign of gratitude and love for the Virgin Mother.

After reciting verses of the Holy Bible during the Holy Mass, the new General Secretariat members  for 2025 with its new Secretary General Mr. Ghassan Asfour named were named in an expression of complying with the Lord's call to serve the Church and youth with love and zeal.

Then, Fr. Jihad Shweihat  delivered a homily in which he stressed the importance of service in the lives of the youth, noting that the youth, scouts, and other fuctionaries are the heart of the Church. He thanked the former members of the General Secretariat of Christian Youth in Jordan for the efforts they exerted, and congratulated the new members reviewing their new responsibilities. He also expressed his appreciation to all the priests for their support of the youth activities over the past years.

Later, prayers were offered for the clergy, for Jordan and its leadership, as well as for the youth, and for the grace of peace in our suffering East, especially in the Holy Land and Lebanon. Then, the General Secretariat of Christian Youth presented the new Youth slogan for 2025.

Prior to the end of the Holy Mass, new Secretary General Mr. Ghassan Asfour delivered an address during which he thanked the sponsor of the celebration and the attendees, while calling on everyone to pray for the new members so that God may support them in their upcoming duties.

After the Holy Mass, the new members of the General Secretariat of the Christian Youth for 2025 received well-wishes in the hall of Our Lady of Nazareth Church during which commemorative gifts were distributed to members of the youth amidst feelings of joy and gratitude.
