Jordan: Awareness workshop marking World Orphans Day, November 10
By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

On World Orphans Day which is marked on Sunday, 10 November 2024, the "Wells of Hope" initiative and the administration of the Latin School in Northern Marka, in cooperation with "Sandak" initiative, have held special awareness training for schoolteachers on how to provide psychological and social care for orphaned children.

The initiative provided specialized training that focused on understanding the psychological needs of orphaned children, and how to deal with the traumas and challenges they experience, in addition to enhancing the skills of teachers in providing comprehensive support and care.

The training program also included guidelines to help teachers, who present needed care, as well as to maintain their psychological and emotional balance to ensure their ability to perform their role with efficiency.

Many thanks are conveyed to Dr. Nisreen Hawatmeh, founder and Managing Director of "Sandak" in Jordan and the Middle East as well as the regional ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa region for the "World Without Orphans" Foundation, whose aim is to improve the life of orphans and vulnerable children by immunizing them psychologically, academically and spiritually, as well as by building a generation of young people capable of helping themselves and improving society.

A tribute is paid to Dr. Hawatmeh for arranging this training program and for her support and cooperation to hold this awareness workshop.
