lpj.org :

The current members of the General Assembly for the Latin Scouts and Guides in Jordan have held their final meeting at the Pastoral Hall of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Tla' Al-'Ali, Amman. The gathering was attended by Fr. Firas Airda, the Scouts' Chaplain, and representatives from various Latin scout groups across the Hashemite Kingdom.

The event commenced with a Holy Mass at the church, followed by discussions focused on the achievements and future aspirations of the Scouts and Guides. Members of the outgoing General Assembly presented recommendations for their successors, emphasizing the importance of extending the terms of the International Commissioner and Guide Leader.

Additionally, the meeting included a review of bylaws pertinent to the upcoming elections scheduled for October 9, 2024. The Commission announced that nominations for the new session would open the following week, allowing group leaders to elect candidates for the General Assembly of the Scouts. The newly elected members are set to begin their term in November 2024.

To conclude the meeting, a dinner was held to honor the contributions of those who served over the past year, recognizing their dedication and efforts.
