The Catholic Church officially recognized the apparitions of Our Lady in Kibeho on 29 June 2001.

Consequently, 29 June 2026 was a day of great joy in Kibeho, spent praising God, who allowed the Blessed Virgin Mary to visit the African continent through Kibeho. The day was marked by joyful singing, dances of jubilation and thanksgiving to the Mother of the Word.

During the apparitions — which began on 28 November 1981 and ended on 28 November 1989 — the Virgin Mary said that her messages were intended for the whole world. Indeed, the apparitions of Kibeho have become widely known on all continents, especially over the past eight years, following the inauguration of the Radio Maria station in Kibeho, which took place on 28 November 2018.

Radio Maria is undoubtedly the main channel for spreading the messages of Our Lady of Kibeho: prayer without hypocrisy, conversion, the promotion of faith, the acceptance of salvific suffering, prayer for the Church, and the spread of the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady, among other things.

The visionary Nathalie expresses her gratitude to Radio Maria, prays for the station, and takes part in the Holy Masses celebrated in Kibeho, which are broadcast throughout Africa and to the other continents. On  29 June 2026, she took part in the continental Holy Mass celebrated at 5:00pm (Rome time).
