"Lord, calm the storms of fear lurking in us"
O Lord, as You rebuked and silenced the winds as well as saved Your boat and the boat of the disciples, come to us at once and calm the storms of fear lurking in us.

By Fr. Dr. Rif'at Bader :

A year ago, namely March 27, 2020, His Holiness Pope Francis walked alone in Saint Peter's Square. As he turned left and right, he did not see anyone with him. He prayed for the entire humanity and demanded that people stay away and maintain social distancing. He contemplated the "human ship" sailing in deep seas, while the waves and storms increase their intensity and severity. He addressed humanity reiterating what Lord Jesus said when He was with the disciples in a boat that was swept over by a furious storm, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"

A year later, we are still in the same boat. The storms are still furious and high waves still prevail despite the fact that there is a glimmer of hope with the manufactured vaccines that help curb the corona storm.

O Lord, as You rebuked and silenced the winds as well as saved Your boat and the boat of the disciples, come to us at once and calm the storms of fear lurking in us, as well as the storms of the epidemic that wreak havoc on the entire world, Amen.
