Radio Maria Hungary, based in Budapest and active since January 2006, continues to grow and strengthen its bond with listeners.
With its 25 frequencies, the radio today reaches about two and a half million people across the country and can count on the support of over 30,000 donors. In the past month, a campaign promoted on social media has borne extraordinary fruit: as many as 40 new volunteers have decided to join the great family of Radio Maria.
This is a tremendous help, as every month volunteers carry out essential work, namely preparing, packaging, and distributing the radio’s magazine in different areas of Budapest and in the regions covered by the signal.
This commitment is crucial for Radio Maria’s mission in Hungary, given that about 45 per cent of donations come through the magazine, which is the listeners’ main source of information and direct contact with the radio…a concrete sign of how the cooperation among the radio, volunteers, and donors makes it possible to keep Mary’s voice alive in the heart of Hungary.
