The weekend of November 14–16, 2025, was a truly blessed time for the faithful of St. Michael Church, Sharjah, as they came together for the annual Family Fest 2025. More than just a celebration, the event served as a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of family bonds and the grace of a vibrant, united parish community.

The festival opened with a heartfelt inauguration led by Parish Priest, Fr. Savarimuthu (Muthu) Antony Samy, and was graced by the presence of Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, who presided over the Mass.

In his inspiring homily, Bishop Paolo reflected on the sanctity of the Christian family, calling it thfoundational “domestic church.” He emphasized the importance of gatherings like “Family Fest,” not merely for entertainment, but as a deliberate occasion to nurture the love, patience, and unity that define the parish community. His message resonated deeply, encouraging all attendees to cherish and cultivate their family relationships.

Bishop Paolo also embodied this spirit of fellowship throughout the festival, spending time with participants, sharing in the joy of the games, and visiting volunteers at various stalls. His warm and encouraging presence set a tone of humble, welcoming charity that illuminated the entire event.

Fr. Muthu captured the essence of the occasion: “Family Fest is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share joy, and strengthen bonds.
