Bethlehem University, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin sign MoU

Bethlehem University and the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) designed to cooperate in the academic, research and publishing aspects, in addition to academic exchanges and the development of joint programs.

 

Rev. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski, rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, and Ks. Prof. Mirosław Stanisław Wróbel, director of the Institute of Biblical Studies at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, visited campus and met with Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal, executive vice president, Dr. Irene Hazou, vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Iman Saca, vice president designate for academic affairs, and Yazan Al-Zubaidy, director of the marketing and communications office.

 

Rev. Dr. Twal said signing such MoU is significant during the golden jubilee year as Bethlehem University  and continues to serve the Palestinian people through education. He added that the university and education in general need to develop and keep pace with modern technology, especially in artificial intelligence.

 

Dr. Hazou briefed the delegation on the programs offered by Bethlehem University, future academic plans, and existing partnerships with academic institutions and international universities.

 

Prof. Kalinowski praised the pioneering role of Bethlehem University, stressing the importance of this cooperation in various fields, especially in the field of scientific research. He also gave an overview of the history and programs of the John Paul II Catholic University.

 

They briefly toured the University campus, enjoyed the Chapel of the Divine Child, and visited the George Nasra Turathuna Center.
