On Tuesday, May 5, 2026  Caritas Jordan held a consultative session at its headquarters in the Jabal Luweibdeh, Amman, with the participation of a distinguished group of members of the Upper and Lower House of Parliament, notables, in addition to members of its administration board.

Opening the session, Chairman of the Administrative Board of Caritas Jordan Thabet Elwir delivered a welcoming address during which he underlined the importance of consolidating partnerships with various national stakeholders in order to provide needed services to society.

Then, Caritas Acting  Director Mr. Omar Abawi delivered an introductory presentation on Caritas Jordan, during which he highlighted its key programs. This was followed by an introductory video film shedding light on the Caritas achievements and its humanitarian efforts.

During the session questions and suggestions were raised, focusing on developing Caritas Jordan's role and enhancing its societal impact in line with the needs of the society, as well as supporting its humanitarian work.

Caritas Jordan has steadily strived to fulfill its love message to the poor and the needy by the good work of groups and individuals offering medical and humanitarian services. Its message is stipulated in serving humans without distinction in race, color, gender or religion. It has all the time been conveying invaluable service by assisting the poor and needy, by providing primary medical services to mothers and children, assisting refugees and the displaced in addition to victims of wars and disasters, working with governmental and voluntary corporations, as well as with Caritas International  members to achieve the desired goals.

The role played by Caritas Jordan has all the time been pivotal and vital as it provides all kinds of humane services to Iraqi and Syrian refugees who lost all hope in life. With its message of love Caritas Jordan sets, it is worthy to be emulated to constantly bring about bright days to come.
