On Thursday, November 28,2024, a theatrical eve was held at the Rosary Sisters in Shmeisani, western Amman, under the patronage of hymn singer Ms. Layal Nehme, Caritas Jordan Director Mr. Wa'el  Suleiman and  Sister Caroline Bader in the presence of relatives of the performing students and Caritas Jordan employees.

The ceremony included a display of various activities launched by Caritas Jordan, incorporating the "Music for Peace" project and the "Drama and Art" project, where participants presented various artistic performances that demonstrated the profound impact of art in spreading the values of peace and love.

In his opening address, Mr. Wael Suleiman stressed the importance of these projects and their great psychological impact in shaping generations capable of highly appreciating and experiencing the values of solidarity and peace. He stressed that such activities contribute to building a society in which cultural and artistic awareness prevails which enhances the ability of children and youth to express themselves through art.

For her part, Layal Nehme expressed happiness for participating in this ceremony and paid tribute to the great role played by Caritas Jordan in spreading the culture of peace and love. She stressed that art, in all its forms, is an effective tool in promoting this humanitarian message.

Musical and dramatic performances were presented by students and supervised respectively by Tareq Al-Jundi and Batul Mubaidin. This was followed by an exhibition of children's drawings which expresses their vision of peace through art.

It is worth noting that both projects have been implemented for several years through Caritas Jordan in partnership with Austrian "Porticos" and the Italian "No War Anywhere" in several governorates, namely Amman, Zarqa, Madaba, Ajloun and Karak, with the participation of Jordanians, as well as Syrian and Iraqi refugee children aged 6-16 years.
