Caritas Jordan's annual youth volunteer camping launched

By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

The first youth volunteer camping, run from July 26 to August 8, 2025, has been launched in Karak Governorate, particularly in the Latin Parish of Ader. It is organized by Caritas Jordan's volunteer program, in cooperation with Italian Non Dalla Guerra (no war) Association.

The camping activities, held in coordination with Fr. Salem Lolas, pastor of the Latin Monastery Church in Ader, include a series of volunteer, social, and cultural activities, including field visits to refugee families, art and creative workshops for children at the Arts Center, in addition to a clay workshop held in cooperation with the Caritas Center in Karak. The camp will also help organize mobile clinic services; as well as conduct a recreational summer school for parishioners aged 11 to 16.

It is worthy to note that these camping activities are held annually in various parishes in Jordan, as they aim to promote cultural exchange and volunteering experience among young people, and to activate their role in community work, in line with Caritas Jordan's mission of attaining solidarity, providing services, and  ensuring partnership. The second camp will be held at the Hashemite Latin Monastery effective August 9, 2025.
