The Jordanian “Sanadak” initiative, in collaboration with the global “World Without Orphans” organization, organized a workshop at Liwan Hotel in Sweifieh on October 7-8. The workshop aimed to launch the “Hope Groups” project in Jordan and Palestine. The curriculum was specifically developed to align with the Arab context in Jordan, the Middle East, and North Africa. The workshop focused on providing psychological support and practical guidance for parents and caregivers affected by wars, conflicts, and various traumas, as well as protecting children from all forms of violence.

Representatives from local and regional charities and organizations participated in the training. Sister Cécile Hijazin, Secretary of the Union of Religious Orders in Jordan and coordinator of “Wells of Hope” at the Latin Church in Marka, also attended the event.

On Saturday, October 12, the "Sanadak" initiative held a roundtable meeting at Al-Liwan Hotel, attended by Dr. Susan Helles, representing the World without Orphans Foundation, and Nicole Boldonado, the coordinator of the Hope Groups Program. The meeting aimed to discuss the roadmap towards a world without orphans and explore avenues for cooperation between local community organizations and churches to support and uplift orphans. A number of representatives from churches and local organizations also attended to discuss potential collaboration.
