On Monday August 4, 2025 Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop Iyad Twal celebrated Holy Mass marking the Feast of  "Virgin  Mary, Mother of  Youth" at the House of Encounter in Madaba.

In his homily, Bishop Twal underlined the importance of the Virgin Mary's role as a mother and companion to youths, and called on young people to emulate her in life, especially at a time marking an upsurge of intellectual, social, and spiritual challenges. He also stressed that hope is not just a fleeting feeling, but rather a tangible call for confidence in the future, as well as active engagement in the Church and society.

The Mass was held in the square of the center assigned for providing inclusive day services for people with disabilities. It was concelebrated by Fr. Tariq Abu Hanna, the parish priest of Madaba, along with Fr. Bashir Bader, Fr. Yousef Francis, Fr. Ibrahim Naffa', and Fr. Fares Siriani. In presence were monks from the Little Family of the Annunciation in Ma'in, nuns from several congregations, and a group of faithful and volunteers from the House of Encounter.
