The monastery, the Latin Patriarchate Church, and the Grotto of Our Lady of the Mount in Anjara, Ajloun Governorate in northern Jordan, have been renovated in line with the Royal Hashemite Court projects and in line with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The site, considered as one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in the Kingdom since 2000, was visited a few months ago by Chief Advisor to His Majesty the King for Religious Affairs His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi Ibn Muhammad, and Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Mr. Yousef Al-Issawi.
Since then, intensive and meticulous work has begun, under the directives of His Majesty the King and in coordination with parish priest Fr. Yousef Francis, who has been working actively for several years with a number of priests and nuns affiliated with the Congregation of the Incarnate Word.
In addition to the monastery, the church, and Our Lady of the Mount Gotto, and the Latin Patriarchate School, priests and nuns oversee the "Mary Mother of Hope Children’s Home" which cares for children experiencing difficulties and domestic violence.

Yousef Francis, who has acquired the Jordanian citizenship by a special honorary directives from His Majesty the King following receiving the Silver Jubilee Medal, extends his thanks and gratitude--on behalf of the Latin Patriarchate parish and the Congregation of the Incarnate Word--to His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi Ibn Muhammad, His Excellency Chief of the Royal Court Mr. Yousef Al-Issawi, all Royal Court members of staff, the Governor of Ajloun, as well as the directors of governmental departments for their honorable work, under the directives of His Majesty the King, may God protect him, who works day and night to ensure that Jordan remains free, independent, and dignified.
