On Friday, November 29,  2024, the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Tla’ Al-‘Ali, western Amman, held a spiritual retreat at the Baptism Site of Lord Jesus Christ prior to the onset of the blessed Advent Season, which precedes Christmas, as well as prior to the start of the Jubilee Year 2025.

Following the morning prayer which was held at the Conference Center, parish priest Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader gave a spiritual presentation in which he touched on the aspects of the Jubilee of "Pilgrims of Hope", and how to live it at the personal, family and pastoral levels. Then, he presided at the Holy Mass in the Church of the Baptism of Jesus Christ with the concelebration of assistant priests Fr. Yacoub Daynoti and Fr. Wajdi Twal, in addition to Deacon Jubran Salameh, while Lebanese hymn singer Layal Nehme sang some hymns.

Later, the participants renewed their baptismal promises in front of the Jordan River.
